Don't worry. I was thinking the same thing last year. Let me take you back, then I can introduce you to this amazing lifestyle.
Life before 2020, wasn't it just great?? No Covid, no shut-downs, no limits on toilet paper, no masks! Ahh, those were the days. Right? If 2020 taught me anything. It was that I need to be willing to make a change. Within that change, I need to be able to make lemonade out of lemons. So Norwex for me, is my lemonade.
I truly am an INTROVERT. I am anxious around a bunch of people. I do not do public speaking. I prefer to be at home with my crazy family, that is my comfort zone. One day in the midst of all of the pandemic, my cousin sent me a DM. She asked me if I would like to attend a Norwex Facebook Party. What??? Norwex...what the crap is that? Facebook party...you party on Facebook??? Those were my exact thoughts. BUT it was from my cousin and I decided sure Ill "go" and support her. So I hit "Join". That decision will turn out to be one of the best decisions I will make in 2020.
The night of the party, I sat for an hour listening to this girl that I had never met, talking about Norwex. Turns out it is a company that sells cleaning and personal care products. -- WAIT -- Before you stop reading, STAY with me, IT IS LIFE CHANGING!!!
So what I learned from her was that there were these cloths that with JUST water, can pick up 99% of bacteria from a surface - following proper use and care. Within these cloths is SLIVER, and all you need to do is rinse the cloth out after you use it, hang it to dry, and within 24 hours the sliver will go to work and self-purify the cloth. WHAT??? - Sounds too good to be true to me, right??? Then she wanted me to buy this "Safe Haven 5" for like $100. What, 5 products for $100 and you're telling me that I can "save money"?? No thank you. BUT remember, it's for my cousin. So I felt like I had to buy something. So I looked through the catalog. Do you want to know what I found???

WOOL DRYER BALLS!!! AHH!!! I heard before this party that dryer balls help reduce the amount of drying time for clothes. I have to say, I was spending a ridiculous amount of time and energy trying to dry my clothes. I never had a good excuse to purchase these balls, until that day. I also remembered the consultant talking about these "dish cloths" that dry so quickly that they do not have that nasty kitchen sponge smell - we all know that smell. My current kitchen sponge was smelling exactly like that, so I decided to purchase the "Dish Cloths" as well.
So I made my purchase.
Something stuck with me after I made that purchase. I couldn't stop thinking about the concept behind these products. Just a single piece of fabric and water could really clean just as well as my well-loved disinfecting wipes? I mean we are in the middle of a pandemic, and people are cleaning their homes with just water and a cloth??? THAT IS CRAZY!!!
The nurse in me was screaming, DO SOME RESEARCH!!! I needed to know if this "way" of cleaning was just as, if not more, effective than my chemical cleaners. If it is not, then I need to explain this to all of the people that they are scamming out there, including my cousin. I was on a mission to prove them wrong. I actually spent the next two weeks, trying. To become a believer.
It amazes me that all of this time, I blindly trusted household chemical cleaners to keep me and my family safe from germs and bacteria. I never realized the dangers that I was spending my hard-earned money on. I was basically poisoning my loved ones, and I was doing it blindly. I thought the burn that I felt on my hands after using my disinfecting wipe, meant that it has to be working. RIGHT??? Oh, how wrong was I.
Then I found myself constantly telling my husband the facts that I have found. I told him about how disinfecting wipes need a 4 minute contact time to work as advertised. I was telling him that laundry detergent is so full of fillers and additives that it is actually breaking our washing machine. I told him about how chemical cleaners are linked to cancer, respiratory illness, and even mental illness. I was telling him that only 200 out of the 83,000 chemicals that have been introduced within the last 50 years actually have been tested for the effects it has on our health. I felt this urge and this need to tell everyone that I knew. I was living my whole adult life believing in products that are slowly poisoning me and my family. At first, I wanted to actually host an online Facebook party to spread the word to all of my family and friends. Me, the introvert that didn't even know what a Facebook party was, wanted to host a party so I can help my loved ones. I was so close to contacting the consultant, but something stopped me.
My want to educate EVERYONE about the dangers of chemical cleaners outweighed my fears and anxiety of actually speaking to people. That was the moment that 2020 pushed me out of my own comfort zone and pushed me to be a better person. It forced me to grow and try something new. So I signed up to be a consultant. By becoming a consultant I was able to get tons of products for FREE! It allowed me to fully make the switch to Norwex, and mechanically clean instead of chemically clean. This made my home a Safe Haven and I know that my loved ones are safe from the toxins that chemicals bring into the home. I know that I can rest a little bit easier at night, knowing that my loved ones, in my home, are safe from toxins.
I joined a company that promotes healthy living, saves people time, money, and health.
I joined a company that is passionate about saving this planet from ourselves. Norwex isn't just about a cloth. It is a lifestyle. It is changing the way that we clean our homes and ourselves. We don't have to depend on harsh toxic chemicals to keep unwanted germs out. The cloths can literally pick these nasties off of a surface and REMOVE them, instead of leaving their dead remains behind. In turn, we don't have to keep spending our hard-earned money on products that don't actually make our homes safe but gives us a false sense of security in believing that our homes are clean. This is why I joined this company. Mechanically cleaning with these products can improve quality of life. I want to educate others that these products are effective, sustainable, and reliable. That norwexing (can we please make that a word) is a way of clean living! That is what Norwex is.
